Because Schenn best fits in a as 3rd line centre with them and has not been top 6 productive in the NHL. He is not a top 6 forward at this point in his career.

They also have Couturier who is crowding the centre spot and being tagged to play out of position.


Glencross gives them someone to play LW with either Giroux or Vinny. Hartnell can not play on both lines.


Giroux and Voracek are the Flyers best players and they are softies. They need tougher harder checkers to play on their lines.
