Glencross is just one of the 600 flawed players in the NHL. He's not perfect, he's never been perfect, he's not paid to be perfect. But appreciate what good this team has. It's been 3 games. Before you know it, Glencross, like Iginla, Kipper, and Bouwmeester before him, won't be here, and you'll wish he was.

I don't think it is people outright hating Glencross because he is a whiner. It is more of situation where people realize that he brings more benefits to his team than negatives, but that one negative he does bring is something that is concerning. So, why not trade him now while his return is likely to be very high? Most people are placing higher value on what Glencross can fetch the Flames in trade than what Glencross can bring on the ice. They are using his moments of lackluster effort and seemingly poor attitude (when he's down) to validate the reason to trade him.
