hey I wasn't arguing with you.... just building on your point that a team who thinks they are a lock for a playoff spot does not put as much value in their first round pick as the Flames do.
If Philly thinks they are a lock for the playoffs they may not consider their 1st round as important as it actually might turn out to be.
Signing all the veterans to big contracts gives the impression that the Flyer's management thinks they are in the running for the SC..... Right now.... They are not going to improve with age.
