True ... when Regehr was Luke's age he was the best defensive D-man in the world.
Regehr was basically a top 4 d-man from age 20. He also was making less than 2M / year until 2006/07. In 2003/04 at age 23 he made 1.2M as the best Flames D-man in the playoff run.
Luke has a way to go. This is his 6th NHL season. After being untradeable from the Leafs he worked his way to the 5/6 role in year 4 coming off his ELC.
