I guess I missed it.
I'm being nice because he's not been "not nice" to me yet. No reason to escalate the conversation into a hate fest. If he chooses to do so then I can respond.
Just because I disagree with someone, it doesn't mean I can't have civil conversation with them on the subject. That's just me though.
