Honestly, my first reaction to this design is more positive than my first reaction to the 2003 jersey, and especially the current primary set.

I initially hated the black logo because it made me think of something that was burnt up and turned to ash (I've since resolved my thinking to the black fire representing burning oil, so I can live with it). I didn't really warm up to the black logo until the playoff run.

My first reaction to the current jersey set was to go online and buy one of the old jerseys on clearance. They wore the flag jersey for 3 seasons before I finally caved in and bought one, and that was only because River City had the authentics on for $100.

The only reason I own a Heritage Classic jersey is because I won it at a STH luncheon.


Compared to my initial reaction to those jerseys, I'm down right ecstatic about this one.
