I think both fights were fine.
Bouma/Wilson:
Bouma rocked that guy, and ended up injuring him. In my books if you're Washington you send a message. That doesn't mean you send an enforcer out to take care of Bouma, that means that if there is someone out on the ice willing to defend their teammate, they go. The ridiculous part of it is the takedown. It's, as everyone has said, "bush league" and really embarrassing. Fighting is a agreed upon action, but you don't go trying to flip a guy over while he's on ice. It's childish and cowardly. When you're done, you slow it down and the refs come in, that's it.
Iginla/Goober:
Nothing wrong with this. Iginla didn't like the hit, asked the guy if he wanted to go, and the guy obliged. If Iginla had chased him down and just started punching that's one thing, but he asked him to go and they went, simple. No wrestling moves, no MMA, just a solid fight. Plus, it works as a deterrent. If you plan on laying out guys with big dangerous hits (clean, but a hit like that is always risky) then you need to be prepared to answer the bell if someone doesn't like it. It makes guys remember not to be careless, and think before they go running players.
All in all, the RIGHT type of fights. Nothing staged, no goons rolling around. That's the way fighting should be IMO.
