Maybe people just take that for granted. Some of the differences in reactions are due to differences in expectations and general outlook. They're bottom-3 in the league on paper, easily, and it's another patented Jay Feaster lineup with giant holes (they may have a couple of centers this year but the defense is obviously small and they don't have a goalie with NHL starter experience in the entire system).
