AP makes great watches but not in the same league as Patek. Patek and Vacheron are untouchables in the watch world. There are a lot more good deals to be found around US and Europe for AP watches. None for Patek and Vacheron. I mean, there are very expensive watches made by pretty much every big watch brand but no other brand is respected as much as those too.
Regardless, buying a watch in that price range is always better done in person. Stores in New York, New Jersey and Florida carry big selections. 300watches.com is both a web-site and the store. You can negotiate a price over the phone and then pick it up in person to avoid shipping risks.
