Lets face it. People who argue for fighting in the game aren't thinking about player safety. They want to keep fighting because they like the entertainment value of it. The whole argument about keeping people honest is pretty weak IMO. What keeps players honest are long suspensions, not the goon on the other team fighting the goon on your team.
I'm guilty of enjoying watching a good hockey scrap, but if I take a step back and think about what it contributes to the actual game, I realize it really doesn't contribute anything. Maybe it is time they took it out of the game.
