And you think fist fighting in, say, football keeps guys in line? Stand by what I said, the policing argument is a weak one.
Beside the fact that comparing fighting in hockey to rare and heavily suspended fighting in baseball, basketball, football or rugby is kind of ridiculous. Fighting is a regular and expected part of the entertainment product in hockey... Works for some folks, puts others off.
