The way I look at it is, the forwards aren't all world superstars, but they're not that bad. Bunch of guys who can put up 25-30 goals, grinders that can wear out the opponents and a good mixture of youth and veteran leadership. The defence is probably about average to below average, but again, not the worst in the league. Also, with the possible emergence of Brodie, the defence might look alright by the end of the season. The real question is in goaltending. If Ramo can give us above average goaltending, we might push to be one of the top 4 teams in the division. Keep in mind also, this season might be the first in a decade where we have a capable back-up for the entire season. The starter won't have to carry the entire workload as was the case in years past. On top of all that, there's the cross-over factor. The other division in the West looks to be the worst in the NHL.
Anything can happen honestly.
