Default Group looking to make Canadian anthem more gender neutral

http://www.calgarysun.com/2013/10/01...ral-group-says

Quote:
A group of Canadian women — including former prime minister Kim Campbell and author Margaret Atwood — wants to change the national anthem to make it more gender neutral.
The group, which runs the website RestoreOurAnthem.ca, wants to change the line, "In all thy sons command" to "in all of us command." They say it's very close to the original version of the anthem, which was "in all thou dost command."
The lyrics of Robert Stanley Weir's original English lyrics were changed in 1913. A change to "in all of us command" would "reflect Weir's original, inclusive intentions," the group says

I don't really have an issue with this. I seems to be a natural evolution.

BTW, Sun reader commetns coming up trumps again.
