He was perfectly within his range in this press conference: He gave an update about his status with the team, and provided some general observations about the condition of the team and training camp. His statement actually only lasted a few minutes, and everything that followed—his comments about Baertschi, Monohan, and Colborne were ALL part of responses to questions posed by the media.
