Burke is the president of hockey operations for the Calgary Flames, so we should not be surprised at any moment when he chooses to address the media about the on-ice product for the Calgary Flames. He was perfectly within his range in this press conference: He gave an update about his status with the team, and provided some general observations about the condition of the team and training camp. His statement actually only lasted a few minutes, and everything that followed—his comments about Baertschi, Monohan, and Colborne were ALL part of responses to questions posed by the media.
