So, if the Flames some how manged to get some kid named Crosby we should try and send him down (he'd have to clear waivers) because he didn't compete directly at camp with Horak?
I like Horak and I want him to succeed here, but I trust that someone in organization has watched the new guy play and knows what we are getting with him. Plus, it's not like Horak has been banished to purgatory for the year. If something happens or new guy is not performing, Horak can be recalled with no issue.
It might suck for Horak, but is the life of a tweener NHL'r that can still move up and down without passing through waivers. With 50ish more games NHL experience, he won't be that guy anymore and the Flames will need to make tougher decisions where he is concerned.
