When Cammalleri is healthly a decision will need to be made on Monahan.
It may certainly be that Street won the job.

But I guess my concern is a more general one: getting Colborne the way they did forces them to put him on the roster. So they must have accepted that he's better than someone they sent down*. Then how did they make that decision without actually having Colborne in camp and comparing him to his (now defeated) competition?

I'm not so curious about the specifics (the actual player names) but more the general ethos behind how the team will be selected.


* And let me concede (and dispense) with the view that yes, if you bring in a demonstrably better player like a Datsyuk, then someone is finding their butt in Abby. But I think we can agree that Colborne's NHL future is as murky as our other in house prospects.
