I get the feeling that we are being prepared for Baertschi's demotion. After initially hating the idea, I wouldn't mind it so much. If the Heat can be a top team and our young players develop some swagger and a taste for winning, that would be preferable to the constant negativity that will probably follow the Flames around once the losses start piling up.
I really like Sven and I was hoping to see him on the Flames, but young guys have to make it unthinkable for the franchise to send them down if they want job security and he definitely has not done that.
