Reilly took a wicked hit to the helmet and had to leave the game. I don't think it was malicious on the part of the defender, it's the type of play that happens 20+ times a game. Problem was that Reilly is the QB and he was falling so the defender couldn't properly line him up.
Commentators say how this is a part of the game that needs to change, defenders need to learn not to lead with the helmet, I fully agree with this. On the next Edmonton drive Joseph comes in and scrambles, leads with his helmet and bowls over a defender. Not a peep about Joseph leading with his helmet from the commentators! This is what bugs me about all these head contact rules. It's becoming such a disadvantage for defenders to do their job.
