So I wouldn't say either one is ahead of the other but that they will be used in different roles. If anything I would think it would be Backlund/Monhan competing to see who is in the offensive role and who is in the 3rd line role.

I agree with this setup and hope that's how the flames use players to their strengths. Baertschi will be a force on the powerplay this year.
