To narrow the scope of the question in the OP, are there any places that you guys have used that service mechanical watches locally?
I have a couple mechanical pieces that I'd like to get the movements lubricated and regulated, and I don't have any of the oils, the know-how, or the machine to measure the vibrations to see how many seconds/day they'll lose or gain when I regulate them. I've asked and the watch counter at The Bay in Chinook sends them away to BC, not sure about The Bay Downtown.
I'd prefer to have them serviced on-site, to avoid the wait of sending the piece away among other things.
