Capacity gains at this point will only be achieved through 4 car train operation and separating three 2 train routes that are currently interlined along 7th Avenue by building the 8th Avenue Subway. Building the SE line will provide some relief as well since it would divert some ridership away from the south line which has the highest demand among all existing lines.

So how about once the stations are ready for 4-car trains but we don't have enough LRVs to implement them?
