Does anyone know of an effective way to get out of a contract with Bell?
I last physically signed a contract with them in 2009 when I got a new phone, and then have not since purchased a new phone with them. This last August I called to ask for a better plan, and they put me on a good $56 loyalty plan with unlimited canada-wide talk/text voice mail, and 2gb of data. Apparently they considered that as a new contract?
I am living in Toronto, so I want to switch to Wind now that they support the new iphone. They will give $300 in credits with a $40 plan that includes unlimited data (5 gb unthrottled). I would already save $384 over two years in monthly fees. (which would largely cancel out the $400 charge for breaking Bells contract)
