I can't figure out who the first person is. Grand assumptions? I don't see any. You think maybe they were talking in Arabic and not Swahili? I guess that makes sense given the subject matter.
As for the rest of it, I'll put it to you like this. If we had to present out cases on which version was more likely to a jury of 10 people I'd wager my salary on the majority, if not all of them, siding with my version. It has a basis, whereas yours is 'we don't know, it could be anything'.
