I just dont get why the Oilers are giving away RFA yr. You could have signed all 3 to lower contracts. At the end of these contracts Hall, Eberle and RNH can walk as they will be UFAS. And then they will possibly back in a rebuid mode. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Wouldnt it make more sense to sign these players to 3/4yrs then resign them to big contracts at the end of their RFA status. when they are in their prime??
