The infographic I linked, indicated that Android has a 50% market share in in the 18-25 age range, while Apple has a 43% market share.

Its kind of comparing apples to oranges though, since there are so many versions of Android that exist in today's market. You could likely argue that someone running Android 2.x might not really be the kind of user that is really relevant in the entire discussion.

You also have things like iPod touches, not counted in those stats, which are by far the premier product in the MP3 player space. These are priming young people (under 18) to the Apple ecosystem, which is really the product that matters in terms of long term growth and profit for Apple.
