True, and yet in some areas, the NCAA treats its own player-serfs even more poorly. At least in the CHL, you can go to an NHL team camp without fear of having your scholarship cancelled for some asinine reason. Players like Jankowski would benefit greatly from coming to Flames camp, practicing and playing exhibition games with the team before heading back to college.

Both systems need changes to benefit the players. But thanks to the fiasco the idiots behind the CHLPA created, they've probably taken any pressure off the CHL for several more years.
