I don't think greed and selfishness are limited by generations. There are people from all generations that are greedy and selfish. As for Gen Y being unhappy, I know a lot of people in my generation (baby boomers), who are unhappy because they didn't save enough or plan ahead well enough to be able to retire at 65 years old.
