Well, I gave in to the hype and bought this game.

I was actually playing a bit of GTA IV since I bought it on a steam sale a ways back. I thought about playing through it first, since it is always hard to go back and play older games after playing the newer generation. But I was having real trouble being excited for GTA IV. I simply sucked at driving, the city was all brown and boring, and I still hadn't found a decent radio station.

Anywho, GTA V has a real different feel. A real sandbox game, where there are new and exciting places to explore, vehicles to drive, ways to kill people, etc. Definitely brings me back to the sense of wonder playing San Andreas all those years ago (9...holy crap).

What's awesome about being this early into the game (I started free roaming as soon as it let me), is you can discover all these cool little places, and just start imaging the type of hijinks that will ensue when a mission takes you there. Highlight for me so far was watching cop cars drive straight off the mountain in pursuit of me as I rolled down the hill.
