Using the slingbox you can change whatever channel is on at home. Basically if you're using the slingbox and someone else is physically there you can keep changing the channel on each other
.
With digital cable you can do anything with the slingbox that you can normally do (ie. order movies, watch recordings, watch normal TV etc.).
