It's a joke all the restrictions placed on the WHL scholarships.
They use players for basically free for 3-4 years making big bucks off of these kids, and then force them to make a huge decision at 19/20/21 on what they are going to do with the rest of their lives.
You'd think they could put a 5 year eligibilty window in at the very least. the $30-40,000 that it might cost them per player in extra tuition fees is nothing compared to the money they make off these kids.
I think its borderline criminal. If I had a son with hockey talent, I would seriously be pushing them towards the NCAA over the CHL.
