DEFINITELY not #2, dealers will never give you any of that $3k
I'd say SELL IT Privately, as is
YOu'll still get $8k for it as-is, and not have the risk of spending $3k to fix, and still only getting $8k
Trade would be okay too.... hassle free!
bottom line: don't spend any money on the car, you won't see any of it back.
