i could see them trying to move sammy in a situation where they give up a pick to make it happen. that contract is just bad. though actually he has a nmc, so i doubt he would waive it to go to a team in a rebuild.

well the sad thing is that the wings have a lot of young talent. they wont the calder cup with contributions from lots of their young guys and also won the traverse city prospects tournament for the first time ever with lots of their young guys playing real well.
unfortunately instead of giving the young guys chances, they keep signing these veterans on the down side of their careers and leaving the young guys in the minors because they still have waiver options.
its a frustrating time to be a wings fan because there is so much to be excited about but they just keep ruining it.
