Might be a cap and rotor issue. My van (Frankenstart) turned out to be that.... Found it by spraying WD40 on electrical components and looked for tiny sparks that shouldn't be there. Found one on the coil wire.
Fouled spark plugs are also a possibility. And fuel injectors...
