I work in the industry and I can tell you we all were anticipating that this phone would fall in the $400-$450 range to compete with Androids Nexus offerings.

In my opinion the 5C is a complete miss.
  • Still going to require a full $500 subsidy (means >$70 rate plan on a 2-year contract).
  • $99 On-Contract Pricing (doesn't meet the essential $0 price point that the entry level customers want to pay)
  • $599 Outright pricing is not attractive pricing for customers like the Nexus line.
