Christians already "go after" gays. They've been going after them for a lot longer than you have been alive. It is not a magical surprise that suddenly BAM, its 2013 and there are all these people suddenly dislike the Church. The church has thousands of years of history persecuting and killing other groups of people (and subsets of their own people).
Thing is, you have yet to actually post any supporting documentation of the gay community saying horrible things about Christians. So far this is just a made up concept that you have been spouting off as fact.

So with the whole "Do unto others", how does that work with your rapist pedophile priests that the Church keeps protecting? Does the church secretly take these guys into the back room and have them raped? From what I have read, most of these priests are forgiven and allowed to carry on within the Church in positions that allow them to continue to sexually abuse children, which seems like a pretty big double standard to how the external gay community is treated by the Church.
Maybe if this little bit of hypocrisy could get worked out the gay community and the church community could get along?
