I don't think it's just you - a lot of Ultraviolet stuff only seems to work in the US. I bought a TV series DVD that came with an Ultraviolet digital copy (in a Canadian store) that I planned on watching on my iPad while traveling; the only way I could access the video was by downloading everything while I was in the US. I tried contacting their customer service, since the digital copy was a big factor in my purchase, and basically got an answer along the lines of "if you live in Canada you're out of luck."
