I've started paying for music more recently (only singles, never bought an album yet) but back in the day, there wasn't a convenient way to buy Electronic Dance music in Canada. No albums in stores, I wasn't old enough to have a credit card for itunes (if they even had edm songs back then?) and my fob parents would never let me use theirs on the internet. Also, the only way you could find new edm music was by downloading massive packs with a ton of random songs and seeing if there was anything decent in them.
