Hey guys,

I thought I'd start a thread to help new GMs who are joining the league. Please add any tips you might have that new GMs would benefit from. These are all from NHL 13 but are most likely carried over to NHL 14.

Please add your own or comment on mine.

TIPS:

there is no goalie fatigue - your starting goalie can play every game
your salary cap number is based on the top 20-23 players on your roster (example - if you have 1.1 million in cap space and the 23rd player on your roster is paid 2 million you could sign a player to 3 million and still be under the cap)
because there will only be 1-3 seasons draft picks don't have much value
simmed games have a much larger chance of players getting injured
Text+ is the best way to communicate and make trades
