Have kids don't have I don't care either way. But if you decide to not have kids don't tell me how great your life is and how free you are to do whatever you want. I don't care about Hawaii or Mexico. I'll take the big hug and kiss every morning and evening over a bloody vacation 10 times out of 10. That's my choice.
I want to take my kids to the park and baseball and dance class and hockey, soccer etc etc etc. I get far more joy out of watching them grow and learn than anything I could ever do. I'm proud of my kids and what they have accomplished and that gives me a sense of accomplishment. I learned a long time ago that I'm very insignificant in the grand scheme of things but to those kids I'm everything. Being someone's Superman is far far greater than sipping a girly drink on a sandy beach some where.
Again, my choices and my opinions. My best friend and his wife have decided not to have kids as they are afraid of losing their life style. Good enough, I respect that. It has no impact on my life except I can't make all the outings. No biggie. I still play hockey, the wife soccer. Still play ball and get together for football games and golf. Life has changed a lot but I still do the things I used to do sans kids just less frequently. Plus, I feel it makes the times I do get out a little better anyways.
If you do decide to not have kids don't tell me how great your life is with your precious dog either. How life is so much better with a dog. Screw you and your dog. You know what that dog is? A substitute for a kid you pretentious prick.
