I think the notion of Burke trading away prospects is overblown. If I recall correctly, when he inherited the TO job, he knew it was a 5 year process. While there were certainly missteps, he clearly had a much better team and prospects when he left. I agree that the drafting doesn't seem to be his strong suit, but he seems to have a better feel for the pro scouting and trades, which is where I feel the flames are way behind the curve.
If he is head of hockey ops, I am most interested in how he deals with Monahan.
