Really?? No one does a double take when the person touching their plate, cutlery and glass has a huge cold sore? I find that incredibly hard to believe. I don't freak out and run from the restaurant, but I certainly have it in the back of my head while I'm eating and may not use the straw that I just saw him/her grab with his/her fingers. It's just a slightly unsettling feeling. Oh look the person with direct contact to stuff going into my mouth has a virus that stays with you for life, that's something to take note of.
