Always good parenting, but maybe get your kid checked to see if he's 'special'.
Kidding of course, sometimes people do dumb things. Adults have choked on bottle caps in bars. They should know even better than your boy.
He'll only do it once. Good on you for being around. I know exactly what you mean by aging when that happens. I resuscitated my gfs boy in a similar slumber circumstance. Not even my kid but I was a true dad that day.
Kids screw up. The funny thing is, at that age they know guilt and shame. Don't make it a huge deal, but make sure he knows. Chances are, he figured it out for himself.
