This is huge; as roaming rates are ridiculous. Back in 2006 I was paying 17¢ per text when roaming in the US. Now it's 75¢. Somebody is making a lot of extra money there; as the cost of texting is lower now.
Also today I went into Wind to talk to them about a plan, and I asked about US roaming. They have a deal with T-Mobile that allows them to charge $1 per MB for data roaming. While that isn't "cheap", it is 1/6 the cost of what Bell is charging. If a small company like Wind can make an agreement with a major US carrier like that; why can't Robellus? Especially seeing as Wind can offer very little in return; whereas the Big 3 can offer a reciprocal agreement for US customers roaming here.
