Pretty much agree with CC, as usual. Heath set the tone for the villain that could never be matched, and Hardy, while a great actor, did not have the depth required to pull off a big villain.
I also thought the whole taking the city hostage, leaving all the cops alive story line was pretty damn weak. Overall still a good movie, but Dark Knight was by far the best of the three.
I didn't mind seen Anne Hathaway in this position:
But every time she opened her mouth to talk I wanted to punch a kitten in the face as the smugness poured out.
