Cranston as Luthor would be awesome. They can make him look a bit younger if they need to. We also have no idea how much time will be passing between Man of Steel and this second film. They might decide to jump ahead a few years.. to go with the rumoured more mature Batman.
I think a lot of people in this thread will be eating their words after the movie is released. But GirlySports comment isn't fair, you can't compare people for critisizing an actors ability to fill a ROLE vs. the believability of a fictional character in a comic book universe. These are two totally different arguments.

Yes. Then in the opening scene have Aquaman get shot at, deflect the bullets like Superman as he is bullet proof, use his super strength/agility to punch the face off of the guys shooting him before they know what has happened, then his telepathic powers to make the last bad guy shoot himself in the head.
Aquaman is a #####? Riiiiiight...
