Yeeesh- what a nightmare. I feel your pain, I've gone through something similar (not at all this bad though).
My husband and I rent out some properties and about two years ago, we had to evict some tenants in a townhouse because the HOA for that community couldn't stand the renters. We originally rented to a nice older lady who had no kids and no animals. Well, she got a girlfriend who had three kids, all teens. The kids were trouble makers and drew a giant penis on the community mailbox, and also the police were called a few times due to the fights the two women constantly had.
The tenant eventually had herself, her girlfriend, her three kids, and two of the kids' boyfriends living there in a two bedroom townhouse. After several warnings and complaints from neighbours and HOA we had to tell the lady that she had to get out. They had two dogs and two cats in the place too, it was a nightmare.
So, after they left we went in to clean the place. It took probably 100 full bags of trash to carry all of their crap left behind out. Their cats clawed through the dry wall, there was cat pee everywhere, the carpet was saturated in it, there were giant holes in the drywall at the oddest of places. Their back yard fence was completed destroyed and they had smoked like chimneys in the house so it reeked.
The worst part- and I am not kidding when I say this, and this is really gross- was they had cut a hole in the upstairs floor in one of the bedrooms so they could pee from upstairs to the kitchen sink downstairs!!! The toilet upstairs wasn't working and instead of getting it fixed or simply walking downstairs to use the bathroom, this was their solution. The window over the sink about rotted out with pee.
How people live like that is beyond me..
