Default Scanning Code of Practice (SCOP)

Did you know...

When shopping, if a product you're buying scans in at a price higher than the price listed on the shelf, you're get the item free, up to a $10 maximum.

If the cost is over $10, you just get $10 off.

I was shopping the other day. Saw 2 separate displays for the same shampoo. One displayed had it listed at $5.26. The other said $4.97. I wasn't there for the shampoo, but grabbed some anyway. Took it to the cashier, who rang it in and showed a price of $5.26. I told her about the $4.97 display. No questions asked, and it was free.

Has anyone ever heard of this? I hadn't until my wife learnt about it last week.
