Just as Canadian teams or any world teams didn't explicitly protest all the (and can be argued, much more harsh and widespread than this issue) human rights violations the Chinese Government condones and actively participates in, in 2008, I would say this follows the same guidelines.

Pretty sure it was the IOC that disallowed the HC logo in 2010. Canada uses it at the Juniors and WCs every year.
I heard that they sewed it on the inside of the jerseys above the heart. Maybe they could do that with a rainbow flag also.
