No offense, but that's pretty ****ty, man. For most drivers that's literally how they make their living. Like, they go out, they deliver pizza, and from that they are tipped, and that's their job, that's how the pay the bills.
So for them to show up at your door, doing their job, and have you just go "how much?" "$20" "Okay, here's $20, have a nice day". You're literally giving him nothing for doing his job, because it's "not your problem". Well, no it isn't your problem, but weak dude, really weak.
