No, he had conditioning issues. Sounds like it was more of a maturity thing though. He is apparently in great shape this summer.
Both Kanzig and Ferland are long shots for the NHL. But Ferland is a very tough power forward with great hockey sense and some offensive ability. He is also closer to the NHL IMO.
Kanzig looks like a bottom pairing D if he makes the dance. It is always possible he exceeds that projection. But right now Ferland has the higher ceiling and the higher likelihood of making the NHL. IMO.
